As many of you know, our sister Carolyn has been diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer which moved to her lymphnodes and lungs. She is presently going through treatment in Los Angeles and awaiting surgery. A large number of friends and family have asked if you can help in any way. Since the treatments are five days a week right now, Carolyn is taking time off and dealing with a lot of unforseen expenses, some of which are not covered under her health insurance plan. So we decided to start this fund to help her with living expenses while she continues to fight this illness and  heal.  We are very grateful to have so many friends and family members that are willing to help and love and appreciate all of you.

PS Carolyn was a volunteer at Gilda's Club NYC and upstate New York from 1999-2007 and is now a member in Los Angeles. She is donating 10% of funds from this GFM as well as two upcoming literary shows  - "Killing It" in San Francisco (10/10) and an LA show (TBA) to Cancer Care Support Community/Benjmamin Center (Formerly Gilda's Club)Los Angeles.
