Camilla underwent an emergency hysterectomy to give birth to our late daughter Pearl-Nora Cummings safely she almost died to bring her into this world this means we cannot conceive naturally and Camilla can’t carry another child but we can become parents again through surrogacy. We truly wish we could have that chance again, not as a replacement for our daughter but to have a child who we can share together as Pearl was Jon’s only biological child I have 2 daughters to a previous relationship and Jon didn’t come into their lives until they were 4 & 7 years old, so he missed the baby and toddler stage completely, and when we had Pearl we felt fulfilled and happy and now that she is gone we are missing out on them experiences together, which we thought we would have.

In 2020, we welcomed our beautiful daughter Pearl-Nora Cummings into the world, but our joy was tragically short-lived. Just nine months later, we lost her due to a “surgical mishap”, which we cannot sue for in the UK it is not easy to get any kind of compensation or acknowledgement of wrongdoing from the NHS, she died because we were never made aware of the fact she could even get an “emaciated hernia” because the surgeon who performed her surgery cut a small hole in her abdominal wall as she grew it grew big enough for a large portion of her bowel to go through the hole, twist and become caught and it cut of the circulation in her whole body! Her death has left a void in our lives that can never be filled. The experience was devastating, and the grief has been overwhelming. It’s heartbreaking because

Despite our devastating loss, our dream of having a family together has not faded. We are determined to welcome another child into our family to have them experiences back.

Surrogacy is a complex and costly process, including IVF I still have my Fallopian tubes &  Ovaries so we will be collecting my eggs which will be a keyhole surgery because of my complicated circumstances of having a hysterectomy and not having access to my womb from my vagina we would then be able to create an embryo from my egg and Jon’s sperm and then god willing it tests well enough to be implanted, and implant it in a surrogates womb, wait until our baby has proof of life attend all the scans up until our rainbow baby is born, then we have to get legal representation to gain parental rights to our child in court (which happens in all surrogacy cases) so as you can imagine it is going to cost ALOT.

Here’s where we need your help. The costs associated with surrogacy, IVF, and the necessary medical procedures can be staggering—often exceeding £70,000 in some cases even more than that but we have been quoted £70,000 by a surrogacy specialist in London who has their own list of surrogates so we could embark on this journey as quick as a few months time! We have already saved up 1/7 of this staggering amount but it’s took us over 4 years to do this. The timeframe and the amount that is needed is simply beyond our reach, especially as Camilla will go into early menopause due to her hysterectomy in the next 4-5 years and she will have no eggs left which would be devastating for us.

A healthy overall budget for UK surrogacy can vary from £20,000 to £80,000+, comprising:
