Culpeper's Own - A Community Hand Sanitizer

The Premise of our Go-Fund-Me is simple: Every $1.50 raised helps us produce another bottle of Hand Sanitizer which then goes directly back into the Culpeper Community – To our First Responders, our Hospital workers, our Fire Departments, our Police and Sheriff Departments, our Sanitation workers, our non-profits, our food banks, our grocery stores, our small businesses, and our neighbors at large.

The healthier we are as a community, the safer we will be as a community as well. Old House Vineyards is in a position to help and we will do everything in our power to continue producing hand sanitizer as long as there is a need.

Your contributions will go a long way into making this a community success story!

What began as an initial idea to supply the town with a few dispensers of sanitizer rapidly transformed into an endeavor to provide the greatest number of our community members with access to readily available sanitizer. Over the past two weeks, we have been working behind the scenes to secure supply lines of the materials necessary to begin distribution, including bottles and labels.

Earlier this week, we were able to distribute our first 5,000 bottles to the Town of Culpeper who in turn was able to start distributing it to those who are on the front lines every day serving our community and ensuring that our community continues to be able to function as normally as possible.

Over the course of the next eight weeks, our objective is to produce 50,000 bottles of hand sanitizer for the Culpeper Community!

Again, your help is vital to the success of this project. $1.50 is what we have estimated the cost of solely the raw source materials needed to produce hand sanitizer when operating on a large scale. It does not include any labor or operating costs.

The Culpeper Community has been extraordinarily good and supportive to Old House Vineyards and the Kearney Family over the 20+ years we have been fortunate enough to operate here and call this area home. We look forward to the day when Culpeper is again able to fully showcase all of its charisma and small-town charm and when we are able to welcome everyone back out to the Vineyard for a glass of wine, pint of beer, or shot of whiskey! We firmly believe that even though we may not be able to interact with each other often over the next few months, our sense of community will never be stronger than it is now.

Over the course of the next few days, we will update everyone with contact information for how organizations may contact the Town of Culpeper Tourism and Economic Development with requests for hand sanitizer. In conjunction with Culpeper, we will endeavor to fulfill needs as best and quickly as possible.

We appreciate everyone's patience as we fulfill requests!

We hope to be able to provide individuals in our community with access to hand sanitizer as well. However, our priority will be to supply Health Care workers and First Responders in our geographic area. We will make regular updates as we increase production!

Until we meet again – we wish everyone good health and thank you for your support of Old House and the Culpeper Community!
