Our mission at Cuerd@s is to provide those experiencing mental health challenges an empowering, dignified strategy for de-escalation. We embroider tactile patches in strategic places on clothing to guide the wearer into self-soothing positions and donate pieces to mental health programs, schools, and individuals across the country. We also lead embroidery workshops to facilitate productive conversations to build community and create a low stakes environment for sharing emotions.
