Cudgera Creek and Pottsville Protection Alliance

We are a collective of Tweed Shire residents who are seeking support from our community and beyond to fight a large industrial development taking place on rural land in Cudgera Creek just 5km from Pottsville.

Are you concerned like I am about the prospect of our rural villages being over developed and ruined by greedy developers resulting in ruined farmland, high traffic, polluted waterways and an eyesore to all neighbours?

Do you care about maintaining  the integrity of our area and our unique rural atmosphere?

Are you concerned about major industrial development on our doorstep and the impact on infrastructure and our environment?

Would you be concerned if a developer wanted to convert your neighbours farm into 50000sqm of industrial shed space comprising of 19 Industrial Sheds, 450 car parks and a traffic estimate of 2000 cars per day on our local road (That’s more buildings and car spaces than Tweed City Shopping centre  & its car park or 3.5x the size of Bunnings Tweed Heads.)

If so please join us in convincing Tweed Council and the NSW rural Planning board that these developments belong in Industrial areas not on farms. This same development was tried at Bangalow and the community fought hard and the developer decided to move on and try his luck at Cudgera Creek, only now its tripled in size! Lets tell him he’s not welcome here and Cudgera Creek / Reserve Creek is not for sale.
