#CotsforCamden was born to raise awareness for infant loss and to raise funds to purchase CuddleCots for hospitals that do not have one. My daughter lost her son after suffering a complete placental abruption and that was a loss she never recovered from. She passed away on 12/30/22 after a 3-month battle to recover from a gunshot wound to her face. The story of the life she lived from 12/25/21 to 12/30/22 is a long, dark road that ended up with her being left for dead in the woods and that crime is unsolved. She left a mountain of unanswered questions and guilt. She needed help that did not come. I want to help ensure there is help for the next "Brittney", and that takes money that I don't have.

The immediate financial need was to help cover her funeral expenses. A portion of the money raised previously has been used as a downpayment to cover that expense. I'm not sure what the hierarchy will be for spending any additional funds raised. Topping the list will be domestic violence awareness and raising funds to offer a reward for information that leads to a conviction for her crime, though.
