Cuddle Cot
Donation protected
My daughter, Lainey, was stillborn at 36 weeks on 12/23/20. The greatest gift, besides that fact that she was “still born” and I got to see her face, was a coddle cot that gave me 24 hours to hold and spend time with her. It was only provided to me because another family had donated one in the name of their child, who was also stillborn.
It’s taken me a year, but I am finally going through her things and selling them, with the hopes to put that money towards a coddle cot. I never intended to ask for donations, however, people have graciously offered to donate and it was suggested I create a gofundme.
Coddle cots are not available at most hospitals throughout the country and I was fortunate to deliver Lainey at a hospital that had one. I had never heard of one until her. My goal is to raise enough money to provide one to a hospital in an area with the greatest need for one - to give a grieving mother extra time with her baby.
If you choose to donate, thank you! If not, thank you for reading and learning a little bit about my LaineyBug.
Lainey,
Mommy loves you. I can’t say it enough or express it enough. I’ve dreamed about you for forever & you exceeded anything and everything I imagined. I had you for 9 months in my womb and I held you for 24 hours. Those were the best moments of my life. To hold you, to kiss you, to hug you, to see you and to know you. I soaked a lifetime of being your mommy in those moments.
You made me a mommy and you will always be my baby. I hurt to have to let you go. The pain is unbearable.
You are so loved.
Every moment of you has been worth it. I got to see you and hold you, that made the wait worth it all & I will always see you and hold you in my heart.
You are the best girl. And you are my Lainey girl.
