Abertay Football Club run to 100k
Donation protected
Abertay Football Club (Current and Former players) are attempting to run 100k each throughout May/June in order to raise funds for 2 local charities within Dundee. Eagles Wings Trust and Feeling Strong MHC.
Eagles Wings Trust run a mobile soup kitchen four evenings a week on Bell Street Dundee. Around 20-35 men and women use the soupkitchen each night. Many come to talk and have someone to listen to them. They serve soup, sandwiches, cereal, hot drinks, biscuits and fruit. This charity is very close to us all as we often pass by whilst around the university.
Feeling Strong MHC are an organisation who exist to make sure that every young person in Dundee who has experienced a mental health or wellbeing challenge is supported to reach their full potential. They deliver projects, services and campaigns in the community to tackle stigma, build confidence, develop resources, create networks and most importantly support the positive recovery journey of young people.
About us :
Abertay Football Club have 4 teams consisting of Men's 1st, 2nd, 3rd teams and Women's team also. We are very proud to have both Men's and Women's 1st teams in 1A - the highest division within Scottish university football. Our Men's 1st team had an amazing season this year, defying the odds again placing 2nd in 1A only to narrowly lose out on the title to the University of Edinburgh.
Any donations are greatly appreciated.
