Disabled USMC Veteran Defrauded. Help needed!

Donation protected
Bryan Carpenter is a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He joined military service in 2005 during the Iraq War, which placed him squarely in the conflict zone. Bryan’s service to this country was cut short after a roadside bomb struck his truck convoy.

Amazingly Bryan survived, but with serious injuries, some of which were so severe he was told that he would never fully recover and walk again. Having learned the value of perseverance taught him as a Marine, Bryan decided this wasn’t an option. Through countless hours of physical rehabilitation, Bryan not only walks but does so in a way that most never know what happened to him while serving.

Bryan does still suffer, though. He suffers from something that will be with him, likely forever. Like many who have also served, he suffers from the debilitating effects of PTSD, including night terrors. So much so that he has a best friend, and service animal, Farny, to help him cope with PTSD.

That explosion in 2006 also caused irreparable harm to Bryan's brain, which still impairs his judgment. This is something a service animal and physical training cannot overcome. Consequently, an evil person has taken advantage of his kind heart and good nature.

Bryan became the victim of manipulation and fraud by a former high school acquaintance. This “friend” has taken advantage of Bryan’s reduced capacity to see things more clearly. He did so by convincing Bryan that he could help him with what little financial resources Bryan had, which he received monthly because of his diminished capacity.

Bryan had virtually paid off his home in Wadsworth, Ohio when this crime began to unfold. Bryan not only has a first mortgage but has also taken out a second mortgage on his house to help his “friend.” Bryan has been left with staggering debt, which also keeps him up at night with worry and concern. To date, Bryan has given $43,483 to his “friend”.

Bryan could use your help to get him back to square one, so any donation amount to help him would be appreciated. Even if you cannot give a few dollars, you can help by spreading the word to those who can. Thank you for taking the time to read this and helping Bryan get his life back.
