This fundraiser has been made to help the Mosby family. Hakeem and Ashley Mosby constantly go above and beyond for their three kids but need a little help right now. Anything at all helps. Please read their story below:
Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to share something deeply personal and ask for your support during one of the most challenging times of our lives. These past 6 months have been some of the most unknown and scariest months I’ve had.
As some of you may know, the twin boys have recently been taken into custody by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). I had been alienated from them for three years saving to take their mom back to court. Their mother is currently unable to care for them as she is in active addiction and mentally unstable and the goal now is to ensure they are placed in a safe, stable, and loving environment where they can thrive and heal.
We are doing everything we can to keep them home where they belong—but we can’t do it alone. To fight for custody and give the boys the best chance at a brighter future, we need to keep a qualified attorney who specializes in family and child welfare cases. Unfortunately, the legal fees involved are more than we can manage on our own right now. We have spent our entire life savings $15,000, on lawyer fees, court fees, travel expenses, and supervised visit costs. We are at the end of our savings and we are asking for help. This is hard for me as I am not one to ask for anything but I know for my kids sake I need to.
We are humbly asking for any support you might be able to offer, whether it’s financial help toward the attorney fees, gas cards for traveling to KS and back multiple times a week, any financial support for Every contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference.
Most importantly, thank you for being part of our lives and for caring about the twins’ well-being. Your love and support mean the world to us as we fight to keep them where they are loved and belong.
