Hello, my name is Ashley Balogh. I am the cook at Crystal Conference Center. I am looking to raise funds for a new flat-top griddle for our camp. Last year towards the end of our camp season our Flat top griddle stopped working. We looked into getting it fixed but it turns out it is so old that we can no longer get parts for it. They estimated that it is probably at least 50 years old if not older so we got good use out of it.

I use the flat-top griddle to do a lot of our cooking for all of our camps that come through. I cook typically for 30 to 100 people depending on the camp. I make pancakes, burgers, grilled chicken and more using the flat-top.

I have been going to this camp for over 20 years and have been a staff member off and on since 2012. I am currently the head cook at camp and this is why I am the one requesting the funds. Crystal Conference Center is a camp that has been around for over 100 years. It is a camp that means a lot to everyone who has ever been.

The funds that I am requesting will be used for a new flat-top griddle as well as a stainless steel table for it to go on. I also requested a little bit more money to help cover the electrical technician charges that we will potentially have to upgrade the outlets and electric panel for the new flat-top griddle. If there ends up being any remaining money we will make sure it goes to upgrading other parts of the camp.
