hi My name is starr and I’m fundraising to help my 72 year old grandma keep her house and catch up on all past due bills. My grandpa passed away on January 6th , he has struggled and fought colon cancer for the past 10 years. He has done everything to try to beat the cancer from chemo treatments to radiation to surgeries, unfortunately the cancer just kept coming back. This last year it came back but had spread to his kidney , he went through radiation and then went through a 6 in a half hour surgery on December 8th at the Cleveland clinic. The drs felt good about the surgery and said he had done well. 3 weeks post surgery my grandma found him unresponsive on the couch and called for paramedics. While being rushed to the hospital he went into a cardiac arrest and his heart stopped for 10 mins. Due to the lack of oxygen his brain received for the time he went into a coma and showed signs and test results of severe brain damage. Having to follow what we believe he would have wanted he was placed on hospice care and passed peacefully. Him and my grandma was together for 35+ years. He was the provided for the house and took care of all their needs and wants. Due to him being so sick for so long he struggled to be able to work and after surgery was supposed to be out of work for 8 weeks. He had got behind on on all their bills and mortgage. After his passing we looked into how far behind he had got. The mortgage payment is at least 3 payments behind resulting in 2,900.00 mortgage payment. The car payment is also behind about 3 payments resulting in a 1,500.00 payment. My grandparents have raised me since birth, I can’t see my grandma lose her house or anything my grandpa worked so hard for. Any money that is raised will go straight to all the bills to get them caught up.
