Hi, I'm Simo, and I'm fundraising for Crowdwave Ghana, a community based NGO in Ghana creating opportunities for children and young people to learn, connect and discover their talents.

I got to know the work of Crowdwave Ghana and the community behind it, and what stayed with me most was how much potential there is in these young people.

Many children have dreams.

Some love football. Others are interested in technology, art, music or simply enjoy playing and spending time with their friends.

But having a talent is one thing.

Having a place where you can discover it, develop it and be encouraged to believe in yourself is something else.

This is what we want to help create.

A Safe Place to Play, Learn & Grow

Crowdwave Ghana is developing a community youth program where children can come together on weekends to:

Most importantly, we want children to have a safe and welcoming place to spend their weekends.

A place where they can try something new without being afraid of getting it wrong.

A place where they can make friends, meet positive role models and discover what they are capable of.

It's About More Than Activities

This isn't simply about buying footballs, notebooks or games.

It's about creating opportunities.

A child might discover that they love coding.

Another might find a passion for drawing.

Someone else might realize that they are a natural leader on the football field.

Maybe a child who is usually quiet finds the confidence to speak in front of others.

These moments might seem small, but they can change how young people see themselves and what they believe is possible for their future.

Breast Cancer Awareness in October

As part of Crowdwave Ghana's community work, we are also preparing a Breast Cancer Awareness initiative in October.
