Hi,

A customer of mine who is a veteran called me out to fix his bike, I went round there and hadn't seen him in about 3 years. When I last saw him he was a widower that lived alone with his dog. He was always a bit eccentric but a nice man. The intervening years have not been kind. His dog died and the state of the place was grim to say the least. He is completely alone, severely depressed and drinking too much. The house has no hot water, no fridge and has not been cleaned or tidied in years. I have decided to help him get back on his feet and have been making regular visits to clean the place up. He has recently become disabled and as a previously active man doing skydiving and archery as well as being ex-military this has hit him hard. I won't name him because, as a man, he has been too proud to ask anyone for help and I don't want to embarrass him. I'm trying to get to 500.00 to get him a fridge and a working oven, any donations welcome.
