We are Team Mystic Racing - a group of Year 12 students from The King's School, Peterborough. We are STEM enthusiasts competing in the STEM Racing Competition (previously known as F1 in Schools) at a regional level at Harlow College on the 12th of February 2026.

The STEM Racing Competition challenges students to design, build, and race miniature F1-style cars using science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It gives teams the chance to experience what it’s like to work in a real engineering environment while using creativity and problem-solving to produce a miniature F1 car.

We are a team of 6 with our own distinct roles: Project Manager, Lead Engineer, Design and Manufacturing Engineer, Finance Manager, Marketing Manager, Lead Graphic Designer, and Portfolio Manager. Everyone has their own responsibilities, and the competition has enabled us to gain practical experience in the world of automotive engineering and motorsports.

Our project is backed by sponsorship and crowdfunding alone, so we are looking to raise around £700, starting with an initial goal of £450, to fund our team uniform, manufacturing the car and 'pit display'. Any extra money we receive will go towards supporting the next generation of Racing Teams at The King's School.

In terms of sponsorship, we are grateful to SDC Building Limited for their contribution and would love to hear from anyone else who may be interested in supporting us in this way. Please drop us a message through our GoFundMe Page or drop us an email.

We would greatly appreciate any contributions we receive and if you are unable to donate at this time, a share with your family and friends would mean the world to us as well.
