Croom Tidy Towns has done amazing work over the years. Last year when Covid-19 hit we were unable to do our annual Church gate collection. In the past, the amount collected at the Church went towards the stunning hanging baskets over the bridge, which were always so attractive. The church gate donations were also used for the floral displays around Croom including the large planters. Croom Development and Croom CE Scheme kindly took care of the baskets for us.
The Volunteers that Croom Tidy Town have had over the years have been simply excellent and we thank them and all the people in Croom that have done amazing work around their own estates and houses. We are hopeful that with your help this year we can update the floral displays that add that vibrant colour to Croom.
The project we wish to undertake with these funds is to plant the baskets over the bridge and also in various places around Croom. New liners are needed to conserve water in the baskets ensuring the longevity of the flowers. Additionally, we would use the funds to purchase enough bee-friendly flowers for all the large planters around Croom as well as compost and tomato /plant feed.
