Summer Missions Fundraiser

Hello! I have recently had many opportunities to be able to serve God with my activities this summer, and the two I will be participating in are Royal Family Kids Camp and a missions trip to Bucaramunga, Colombia partnered with Maranatha Bible Camp and e3Partners.

Royal Family Kids Camp is a camp for foster kids to come and experience what a healthy family looks like. We will be able to provide them with a safe space to make happy memories and to learn about God in a healthy environment. The Colombia Missions Trip will be a week-long trip where we partner with the churches of Bucaramunga to go out to evangelize and disciple the people around us.

I chose to participate in these two events for a variety of different reasons. I chose to do RFK because I have a heart for children and a soft spot for kids who have gone through things no one should have to go through; I want to be able to show them the true love of God, and that they are loved more than words can express.

Last summer I went to Lead the Cause, an event that teaches teenagers how to effectively share the Gospel with people. I feel this trip to Colombia is the perfect opportunity to take what I have learned to the next step. I have been trained in evangelism, how to pray for people, care for them, and share with them. The love I found for evangelism and those people I was able to pray for and share with during Lead the Cause is hard to describe, but it's something I know I can use in Colombia as well. I will also be able to use what I learn in Colombia here in my community and when I leave for college this fall. These are just a few of the reasons I am participating in these programs, but they are some of the most important reasons.

The total cost for this trip is $3,000, and combining RFK and the Colombia Missions Trip will be around $3,500. In addition, these two outreach events will be taking time out of my working schedule this summer that was going to be used to earn money to put toward my tuition at Colorado Christian University this upcoming school year. The remaining proceeds will be put towards my tuition and will make up for lost hours this summer. I am beyond excited about the opportunities the Lord has put in my path, and I believe He will do amazing things this summer.
