Hi

My name is Dr. Richard Brookshaw and I'm off to volunteer with Crisis Management Association (CMA) in Lesbos, Greece in June 2025 with a friend of mine Dr Daz Singh.

I last went there a few years ago. It's truly a privilege to be able to offer service to these people and this Nobel cause.

Many of us have a connection with refugees in our recent or distant past. For me it has a recent family history which really hits home.

The people you get to meet on these trips in these camps are not a statistic, they are wonderful people with special stories to tell.

There are the usual barriers of religion, culture and language which can often divide us, but through meaningful connections, the service we can offer and a friendly smile, a unique and powerful bond is formed.

We get to experience that very special feeling that we are all part of the same Human Family.

The Earth is but One Country and Humankind its Citizens. We are the Flowers of one Garden, the Leaves of One Tree, Waves of One Sea..
