We're Deb and Barb from a Facebook group called The Comfort Corner, which we started at the beginning of January. This winter has been brutal, and the homeless in Hamilton have had it even harder. This winter, we have been collecting donations to give to the homeless and have grown familiar with their needs. Yesterday, April 11, we were driving through Bayfront Park and saw our friend curled up, sobbing in the fetal position, as all of his belongings were destroyed and taken away by by-law enforcers. No one chooses to become homeless, and getting to know the Hamilton homeless community has shown us how much people deserve to be shown love, kindness, and compassion. We humbly ask for your donations to help the unhoused in Hamilton find solutions in which they can overcome their uninhabitable circumstances.
