'Crisis Cinema' Fundraise for 64-Hr Film Festival

Tax deductible

WHO ARE WE?

Hey there! I'm Isla, one of the team leaders for the first-year team Crisis Cinema! All our members are freshmen in 3 different departments at LACHSA, and we are very excited to participate in this festival! Due to a large number of teams this year, it is super important that we fundraise as much money as we can for our school! Our team consists of Eli, Isla, Yoyo (Cinematic Arts), Percy, Henry, Lyla (Visual Arts), and Stacey (Theatre Tech)

WHAT IS THE FESTIVAL?

If you are unaware, the 64-Hour Film Festival is a yearly festival held at the beginning of the school year! Each team has 64 Hours to conceptualize, shoot, edit, and upload a short film that cannot be any longer than 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Its filming takes place from Friday, September 9th at 4 PM to Monday, September 12th at 8 AM. Every team is given the same unusual prop, camera shot, line of dialogue, location, and primary character name and has to incorporate it into their film! Each team is also given an individual theme that their movie needs to be about. All films are shown for the first time on September 23 at the festival! It's an enjoyable event, and we can't wait to participate!

WHY DO WE NEED TO RAISE MONEY?

Arts are expensive, and LACHSA is a public school! (It costs 3500 per student per year just for the arts curriculum) But aside from the obvious, there are advantages that it provides as well! The team that raises the most money for the school gets some benefits! If we get first place, we can create our story genre, get the opportunity to get two pieces of special equipment and select another perk from a long list of them! It's a long shot since 16 other teams are participating, but even if we don't place, we're raising money for our school to continue upping our experience!

PITCH PACKET (OUR TEAM 'BACKSTORY')

GoFundMe only allows certain-sized photos, so excuse the repeating bottom and the space between; I tried my best.
