Hi, I'm June and I'm raising funds for a Community Organisation helping autistic people and their families enjoy a better quality of life. I'm giving up sweets and biscuits for Lent.
When my own son was 4 he received a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome (autistic) and there was very little support available. We felt very isolated and alone. I desperately wanted to know how to help him negotiate the trials of life. As a result I retrained and with some help I founded Creatovators, a non-profit, community organisation bringing together families with children on the autistic spectrum in a safe, non-judgemental way.
Since then the work has grown and developed with Playschemes, Lego-based Workshops, Trainings, Video Projects and more, and we are raising funds to cover the increasing costs of continuing this vital work.
