Hello, my name is Royce Wright and I have experienced homelessness. I know what it feels like to have nowhere to go—to move through life without safety or comfort. I see people sleeping outside in the cold, and it’s impossible for me to ignore.I’m reminded how easily someone can feel unseen and alone. Those experiences shaped me and inspired me to dedicate my life to helping others.
I chose a career in human services and hold a degree in Behavioral Science, which has helped my understanding of trauma, human behavior, and how to create safe, supportive spaces for people in need. Through my work in shelters, schools, and community programs, I’ve met adults and youth who simply need a safe place to land—somewhere they can rest, breathe, and begin to move forward.
I started sharing this vision online, and the community’s response has been overwhelming. People encouraged me to start this GoFundMe to take the first steps toward securing a building that can serve individuals experiencing homelessness and at-risk youth—a space centered on safety, stability, and hope.
Transparency is extremely important to me. Funds raised will be used for early planning and development costs, including identifying a suitable building, preparing the space, and building partnerships. I will provide regular updates so you can see exactly how your support is helping turn this vision into reality.
Thank you for believing in this vision and for being part of something that can truly make a difference.
