Hi, Tim here. This fundraiser is long overdue, but I’ve set it up to support a great friend of mine, Nathan, and his family. Over the past few years, they’ve faced challenges you simply couldn’t make up—most of them revolving around that dreaded “C” word.

Nathan and his wife, Nicola, are some of the most humble people you’ll ever meet. They never seek sympathy or attention, but if anyone deserves some good fortune, it’s them. My hope is to raise a little something to give their young family the chance to create positive memories—whether that’s a holiday, spoiling the kids at the arcades, or treating them to new football and gymnastics kits.

To give you some context: Nicola, who deserves a medal for her patience (especially with Nath being as stubborn as he is!), is currently living with breast cancer for the second time—this time with it spreading to her bones. Nathan himself has battled throat cancer, which led to the removal of his voice box. Since then, he’s faced several recurrences, undergone multiple surgeries, and now the cancer has spread to his lungs. Without further medical intervention, his diagnosis is terminal. Right now, he’s exploring every possible option—trials, surgery, radio, chemo—you name it.

This family has endured more than anyone should, and they deserve some light during these dark times. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help bring them moments of joy and relief.
