Hi, I’m Kirsty .. Becca’s sister, Kevin’s sister in-law, and Poppy’s proud auntie.

Our beautiful Poppy is going through one of the toughest battles imaginable, and the strength Becca and Kevin are showing every single day is incredible. While they’re both on sick pay and juggling everything life is throwing at them, we want to help ease some of the pressure so they can focus on what truly matters: being there for Poppy and making precious memories together.

For those who don’t know, Poppy was diagnosed before birth with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a serious heart condition requiring surgery.

In December 2025, Poppy underwent major open-heart surgery. While the initial operation went well, complications quickly followed fluid around her lungs and heart, multiple emergency procedures, and several returns to theatre.

Over the following months, Poppy faced:

• Multiple surgeries, including further open-heart procedures

• Time in intensive care on a ventilator

• A valve replacement using a donated valve

• A mechanical valve fitted, meaning future surgeries

• Her heart needing support from machines (ECMO and VAD)

• A small stroke affecting her right side

• Ongoing complications with breathing, leading to a tracheostomy

& more recently Poppy underwent another surgery in hopes to save her own heart. Unfortunately this didn’t work. Poppy now has to wait in hospital for the gift of life, a heart transplant.’

But despite everything, Poppy continues to fight.

As a family, we’re doing all we can to support Becca and Kevin. Our hope is that, when they finally get home, they can do so without the added stress of bills or daily worries just focus on recovery, healing, and being together.
