Creating a memorial to Alexander Kareem
Donation protected
We are raising money to create a permanent memorial to celebrate the life of Alexander Kareem.
Alexander's life was tragically cut short. Raised and educated in Shepherds Bush, he was only 20 years old when he was killed in a case of mistaken identity on Askew Road on June 8th 2020. He was a loving and caring young man and is much missed by his family and friends.
The money we raise through this appeal will go towards planting a tree and placing a bench in his memory in one of his favourite places – Ravenscourt Park.
Working with Alex's family, we will create a peaceful space for his loved ones and young people in our community to remember him.
If you can, please donate to the fund.

About us
Ashley, Xanthe and Chris are local residents and fellow parents at Alex's primary school. Alex sadly passed away at the end of our road. We have been working with Alex's family, former teachers and friends to create this memorial.
What happens to monies raised?
Money donated will be held in an escrow account by Chris and then paid directly to the council by the team to complete the work within Ravenscourt Park. The indicative costs for this work - and hence our target - have been given to us by the Council. Should any monies be raised over the target, we will donate them to the Harrow Club (www.harrowclub.org) - a youth club working throughout K&C and Hammersmith that provides both open access youth provision for young people aged 8-18 and violence reduction outreach programmes in the community.
