Anyone who knows Sharon will know exactly the kind of person she is. Strong, funny, caring, stubborn in the best way, and truly the centre of our family.
What started as a hospital visit for suspected kidney stones became a nine-week stay when a tumour was discovered. After weeks and months of tests, waiting, and uncertainty, we finally received a diagnosis today.
Sharon has been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer, which has spread to her bones, liver, and adrenal gland
Sharon is a much-loved mum to Natasha and Niamh, a very proud Granny, and someone who means a huge amount to so many people. Family has always been everything to her and right now we are trying to make the most of every moment we still have together.
Natasha and I have immediately started planning our wedding and every penny we have personally is now going towards making sure Sharon gets to see her daughter walk down the aisle.
What matters, to me most now is giving the family the chance to create proper memories together while we still can. Overnight stays, little trips away, family days out, time together that feels normal, and moments everyone can hold onto forever, which is where this money will be going. Anything left over will go towards funeral costs and helping ease some of the financial pressure on the family in the months ahead.
Any support at all, no matter how small, would genuinely mean the world to us. And if you cannot donate, even sharing this page helps more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for keeping Sharon and our family in your thoughts.
