Help Transform a Downtown Chico Alley into a Public Art Destination

Hello, my name is Kevin Trivedi, and I am a professional artist, educator, and owner of ArtistScape Fine Art & Creative Services. For more than 25 years, I have dedicated my career to creating artwork that inspires imagination, encourages creativity, and strengthens our community.

Today, I'm asking for your support in bringing a new public art project to downtown Chico.

Our vision extends beyond creating a single mural. We hope this project will become the first step toward transforming an ordinary alley into a vibrant outdoor art destination where multiple murals can be added over time by local artists. Instead of simply passing through, visitors will be invited to explore a colorful public gallery that celebrates creativity, community, and the unique character of Chico.

The Vision

Public art has the power to transform spaces. A mural can turn an overlooked wall into a place that encourages conversation, inspires creativity, supports local businesses, and creates pride within the community.

Our long-term goal is to create an alley that becomes known for its collection of murals—a place where residents and visitors alike can experience art in a welcoming public setting while providing opportunities for local artists to leave a lasting mark on our city.

This campaign will help launch that vision by funding the first mural.

Why We Need Your Help

Creating a mural of this scale requires significant preparation and materials. Your contribution will help cover expenses such as:

Exterior mural paints and primers

Brushes, rollers, and professional painting supplies

Surface preparation materials

Protective UV and anti-graffiti coatings

Lifts, scaffolding, and equipment

Design development and other project expenses

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to transforming this space.

Why This Matters

Imagine walking down an alley that has become an outdoor gallery filled with vibrant murals created by local artists. Instead of blank walls, visitors discover artwork that tells stories, sparks imagination, and reflects the creativity of our community.

This project is about more than painting a wall. It is about creating a destination that encourages people to spend time downtown, supports local businesses, inspires future artists, and demonstrates how public art can enrich everyday life.

About Me

As a professional artist and educator, I have spent decades creating fine art, teaching future artists and designers, and contributing to the cultural life of Northern California. My artwork has been exhibited in galleries, museums, and regional exhibitions, and I remain committed to using art as a way to build stronger communities.

I am honored to help lead this project alongside fellow artist Tim Lehor, working with community partners to bring this vision to life.

How You Can Help

If you're able to contribute, thank you. Every donation helps move this project forward.

If you're unable to donate, you can still make a tremendous difference by sharing this campaign with friends, family, and anyone who believes public art has the power to strengthen communities.

Together, we can transform an overlooked alley into a place filled with creativity, inspiration, and community pride.

Thank you for believing in this vision.
