Building benches for Monroe Elementary

My name is Zac and I am a member of Troop 33 based in Santa Barbara, California. I am currently fundraising for an Eagle Scout project to help Monroe Elementary, a local school which I used to attend when I was much younger.

Unlike some other schools, Monroe is built off volunteers and community and cannot as easily collect enough money for their own projects which is why they need extended help.

The premise of the project will be to create a more suitable outdoor area for kids to socialize or for outdoor classes. This fundraiser will also include 2 kit-built benches as an addition for my current project to provide more seating options to the kids.

With your support, I will use all funding to pay for the material to build the bench. I will also be building with recycled plastics, which are a much more durable material that do not require as much maintenance as regular wood needs. This sort of material is in fact expensive but is much more cost effective in the long run.

With your donations, I hope to be able to complete my project and provide my former school and its students and teachers with new seating opportunities. I aim to build these benches by the end of September this year during Monroe Elementary's "Beautification Day".
