Help Create an Outdoor Classroom for Thorpe Creek Elementary

Hello, my name is Nathan Witte, and I am working on my Eagle Scout Project to bring an outdoor classroom to the students at Thorpe Creek Elementary School!

Imagine a place where students can learn about nature while surrounded by it, where lessons about weather can be experienced firsthand, and where fresh air and open space enhance learning in ways a traditional classroom can't. This outdoor learning space will provide a hands on, engaging, and inspiring environment for students to explore, discover, and grow.

To make this project a reality, I need your help! Your generous donation will go toward materials, service, and tools to make this into an outdoor classroom that is a platform/deck that allows students to relax, learn and experience nature in an outdoor environment. Also making projects used around the deck for the students to be more engaged in nature, such as Bird nest making, discovering the plant life cycle, and even have students record temperature, wind, and cloud types daily to understand weather patterns. These are just the tip of the iceberg of learning opportunities with this project.
