About Drifters
When his father disappears under mysterious circumstances, teenager Cody discovers a hidden device that allows him to drift between layers of reality. What begins as an extraordinary adventure with his best friend soon becomes a fight for survival as they uncover a secret linked to covert military experiments, dangerous operatives, and the truth about Cody's father.
Drifters is a grounded, character-driven sci-fi thriller blending suspense, mystery and heart. At its core, it's a story about family, friendship and courage wrapped inside an exciting, contemporary science-fiction adventure.
Why We're Raising Funds
Rather than waiting for opportunities to come to us, we've decided to create them.
This September, we hope to bring David to Toronto to film a professionally produced two-minute proof-of-concept trailer and attend the TIFF Industry Market, where independent filmmakers connect with producers, financiers and distributors from around the world.
A strong trailer allows industry professionals to experience the tone, style and visual world of a film long before the feature is made. It's one of the most effective ways to move a project from development toward production.
