Create a memory making fund for Lily

Lily was born on 1st July 2022 in Cyprus during our 3 year posting with the military. Everything went to plan throughout the pregnancy and she was full term. From the moment she was born, she was found to have problems feeding and was very sleepy. Lily was rushed to a state hospital in Cyprus and she remained there for over 2 weeks and during this time we could only see her for 2 hours a day maximum due to hospital rules. In her first 2 weeks of life, I was only able to spend a total of 7 hours with her. On 20th of July Lily was medically evacuated from Cyprus and we arrived at Leicester Royal Infirmary, where she has been ever since.

Since being in the UK, they have undertaken many different tests and procedures to find a diagnosis for Lily. After an EEG last week, she was found to be having severe seizures. She has been diagnosed with Early Infantile Epileptic Encephalopathy, one of the rarest and most severe types of childhood epilepsy. Although the doctors are still trying to find the cause for her condition (this could be metabolic or genetic), they have told us that Lily has very limited time with us. This has been devastating to hear as parents, as we don't know whether she has days, weeks or longer.

Lily has an older brother, Maxwell, who also travelled with us on the air ambulance. Being only 3 years old, Maxwell has found it tricky spending all day in a hospital room everyday and also being away from his mum or dad whilst we stay with Lily each night. We would love to create a fund to allow them to make some cherished memories once she is hopefully well enough to be allowed home from hospital.

We also have the logistical issues of moving internationally whilst our daughter is very poorly in hospital to work out. All of our belongings, as well as our dog Jet and car, are all stuck in Cyprus (as my husband Luke can't currently fly back to begin the moving process due to Lily's condition) . Any extra money that we can raise would help enormously with the costs of an emergency move back to the UK to ensure that we can provide the best care for Lily.
