Hi, our names are Mikihiro, Mariam and Ilya from the University of Gottingen. For our course, Project Management, we want to create a bilingual (Arabic/German) story book for refugee kids in the Friedland refugee camp in Goettingen, Germany. This would be a playful way of helping the kids feel seen and learn German at the same time.

This project promotes intercultural dialogue, early literacy, and emotional inclusion. It aids in cultural understanding and assimilation, hopefully making adapting to Germany less stressful for the children when they are already in a very sensitive situation. It aims to give refugee children a sense of recognition and inclusion. We see them and we hear them.
