Backpacks of Hope
A Community Initiative
Dear Potential Donor,
My name is Will, and I am 13 years old. I started a project called Backpacks of Hope because I believe that every person deserves to feel seen, cared for, and valued no matter their situation.
When I see someone without a home, I don’t see a stranger. I see a person who is cold, who might be hungry, and who could use a little kindness. That thought inspired me to do something about it.
Each Backpack of Hope is filled with items that can make a real difference in someone’s day and even their safety:
- A warm sleeping bag and tent for shelter from the elements
- Toiletries like soap, toothpaste, and hygiene essentials to restore dignity
- Snacks to ease hunger and provide energy
I am assembling these backpacks by hand and distributing them directly to people in our community who need them most. Every single item in every single backpack will go to someone who truly needs it.
I can’t do this alone. That’s where you come in.
A donation of any size whether it’s a few dollars, a specific item, or a full backpack’s worth of supplies goes directly into someone’s hands. There is no overhead. There is no waste. Just one person helping another.
I believe that young people can change the world in big ways, even through small acts of kindness. This backpack project is my way of showing that. With your help, it can grow into something even bigger.
