Dear supporters,

My name is Yasmin Mahmoud, I am a Palestinian from Gaza living in Sweden. I call upon the people of conscience and generosity, like you, with an urgent plea for help. I am trying to raise the equivalent of 15,000 USD (155,000 Swedish Kronas) to help evacuate my sister, Areej, who is in coma and requiring special medical care, out of Gaza into Egypt.

After many failed pregnancy attempts, Areej had postpartum complications, and went into a coma after giving birth to her long-awaited quadruplet baby girls, without seeing them! She needs special medical care, regular checks up, and special food that my mother has to blend and pump into the feeding tube implanted into her stomach, in addition to personal hygiene supplies and most importantly medicine;all of which has become extremely difficult to secure in this war.

The never-ending war in Gaza, food scarcity, and deteriorating living circumstances are unforgivingly affecting my family and my sister the most! I feel really sad for my mother, whose tears keep falling abundantly when she sees my sister lying on a cold bed, finding herself helpless without being able to do anything, but pray.

I am therefore turning to generous people, like you, to please help raise money so that Areej can receive proper medical care, and get her and my mother out of this misery! Any monetary support, big or small, or even circulating this campaign to other good people like you, will be greatly appreciated.

Areej’s name means the flower with a beautiful scent; she was full of vitality and life. Please help her, in what might be, her last chance to wake up from coma and hug her long-awaited now grown-up daughters.
