Baby Oakley
Donation protected
On October, 1 st 2018 after being transported from Kearney to Omaha, following a complicated pregnancy, baby Oakley was born preterm at 32 weeks gestation. Not only was Oakley born premature
but she also has additional medical complications due to rare genetic abnormalities. With these complications, she will require ongoing follow-up and medical visits throughout her childhood. Oakley
remains in the NICU at UNMC in Omaha, making slow progress. We continue to pray for her every day. When talking about doing some fundraising events initially our sister said “no I don’t want to ask for
money,” as it has never been easy for her to ask for help. As sisters, we have seen firsthand how difficult this is for her to be torn between her husband and other children at home in Kearney and her new baby in Omaha. Tammi spends most days and nights of the week beside Oakley in the NICU, traveling home at least one night each week. On the weekends, her family travels to Omaha to visit Oakley and spend time together. In addition to the emotional impact this has had on the family, the expenses of medical bills, travel, rooms, food and extended time off of work have made it even more
difficult. Many people have asked “what can I do to help?” We have created this page for those who want to help. Whether it be money or a prayer, please know that we are extremely thankful for your
thoughtfulness and generosity. All donations that are given will go toward the expenses they have incurred and will continue to face through this journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and
god bless.
