Four months ago, Barbara, Ben, and Annelore, got the surprise of a lifetime. Barbara is pregnant with not one baby, but two. Along with this surprise news, came a large number of unexpected medical bills and expenses. In the United States, multiple births are considered a high-risk pregnancy. Home birth is illegal, and more extensive prenatal care and tests are required with multiples. Since Barbara is still going through the immigration process, and isn’t a US Citizen yet, she doesn’t qualify for Health Care or Federally funded programs like Medicare. I’ve put this GoFundMe campaign together in hopes of helping to raise the cost of giving birth in the hospital. The estimated total cost is $25k as long as everything goes well. I have a hard time asking anyone for anything, especially money. However, if you are going to give money to any cause this year, I would ask you to consider donating to this family. They’re loving, hard- working, kind individuals. Through your contributions, I would like to demonstrate that the universe always gives us what we need, when we need it most.
