CPR & Basketball: Damian's Lasting Impact

BASKETBALL WAS HIS LIFE AND HELPING PEOPLE WAS HIS PASSION! H20 DHIGH TOURNAMENT!!

On January 17, 2017, Damian P. Hyman collapsed at the gym and went into cardiac arrest. Due to the cause of Damian's death, the family wants to shed light on the importance of CPR training. Damian P. Hyman was an active basketball star who loved his family, friends but most of all children. In remembrance of Damian, his family and community in the Bronx, NY are putting together a day of fun for the kids in the neighborhood, followed by a basketball tournament. During the day, residents of the area will participate in CPR training, clinics for the kids, kids basketball games, and adult tournaments. We are seeking funds to help bring his dream to fruition and start a foundation where we will be able to give out scholarships to inner city youth. Collected funds will help pay for CPR instructors, park repairs, beverages, trophies, clinic for the kids and foundation scholarship. All are welcomed to join us for a day of fun with Damian's local community, family, and friends. We will host a family and friends cookout on Saturday, July 12th, 2025 and a cookout for the youth in our local community at the park on 219th street on Sunday, July 13th, 2025.
