Covington “Santa”

A few days ago I saw Glen on my way to work pushing a cart wearing a Santa hat. I later saw him sitting with his cart in the rain. He had no sign and wasn’t asking for a thing. I posted a Snapchat asking if anyone knew anything about him and the people that had seen him said he was always kind and waved and never asked for a dollar. A friend and I picked him up, and got him into a motel for a week. He couldn’t believe it. Once I started asking him about his life, he told me how when people give him money he often times goes to Goodwill or dollar stores and buys kids toys or gives it away to single mothers he sees etc. This man doesn’t have anything and is giving money away. I’ve never seen anything like it. He is 70 years old and sick. I’ve had some awesome people reach out wanting to help with work/donations/meals etc. However, I think it would be wonderful if we could get him a camper. My goal was not to help him for a week and put him back in the same position, but to really help him at least have whatever time he has left warm and feeling loved. He is so kind and giving despite his situation. I think we could learn a lot from someone like him
