#Covid19 - Supplies for vulnerably housed

Hard to stay quarantined when you don't have a place to stay. Hard to stock up on resources when you don't have a car. Hard to  pay your bills when everything is month-to-month. Hard to collect on promised unemployment payouts when undocumented/off-the-books/self-employed.

We are planning to purchase and deliver food and other supplies to friends here in Burlington in need. And in the process, check-in and make sure folks living in vulnerable environments don't feel forgotten and unnoticed amidst all the quarantines.   Ronni, a local community member has been our lead on the ground. We have also partnered with  a New Place to provide   hot meals to the community  relocated to North Beach.

Planning to wear masks, socially distance, and utilize in-place distribution resources as much as possible. Thanks for the help.  Also, we are happy to come pick up any extra unopened food stuffs or other resources  (without making too much human contact), feel free to contact us and we can swing by anytime!

** UPDATES **
 - As of 4/13, have cooked 6 meals for the 30 individuals relocated to North Beach and have handed out hundreds of dollars of groceries and supplies directly to friends in the community
 - continuing to respond via phone/text to specific needs
