Covid-19 Relief Fund for Street Vendors in Chicago

As a result of COVID-19, Chicago's beloved street vendors have been greatly impacted.
Help us provide cash relief to your favorite street vendor! (Español Abajo)
Street vendors have been some of the people most impacted by this pandemic. Most of them did not receive a stimulus check, don't qualify for business relief, and have lost most of their revenue with the Stay at Home Order.
These funds will provide direct cash assistance to street vendors in need. The money may help them pay rent, purchase groceries, and supplement the loss in revenue from less foot traffic or having to be quarantined at home!

The fundraiser is being organized by #IncreaseThePeace. #IncreaseThePeace is a volunteer-led organization that develops young leaders and promotes peace through leadership development, community organizing, and advocacy for solutions that tackle the root causes of violence.
In our organization, we believe in centering the people most impacted by the problems we face and giving them space to lead. Leading this effort are young leaders that are also street vendors that want to help other street vendors going through similar hardships.

Citizenship is not be required to apply nor receive assistance. However, street vendors must reside in the City of Chicago. In addition to the cash assistance, applicants will be directed to resources or organizations that might be able to provide long-term assistance to meet their needs. The applications will be reviewed by our Covid-19 Response Team.
