Greetings! I am Chef Cynthia of Katheros Catering located in Niles, Michigan! My primary focus before the pandemic was catering to private events and serving the staff and students at Ivy Tech Community College (South Bend Campus). We had to close our establishment due to the Coronavirus.   We had no idea what we would do with all the food and supplies we had remaining in our establishment. 

 

But then there was a vision!! The schools were feeding the children but what about our Senior Citizens?  So, we went to work and began to prepare weekly meals for the elderly.  We are excited to be a beacon of light in our community during these troubling times. Chef Cynthia, donated all food products and supplies were donated to feed the elderly. The City of Niles and Volunteers came together with Katharos Catering and they prepared over 650 meals to feed our seniors.  After delivering over 336 meals in the first week, we realized that we needed to reach out to the community for help to continue this mission now that the Pandemic will last longer than expected, We are requesting contributions to help continue to feed our senior citizens.
