Portland Action Medics and Rosehip Medic Collective need your help to continue our COVID relief efforts!
COVID cases are on the rise. We have the knowledge, experience, and equipment to meet this challenge and help keep our most vulnerable communities safe, but we can’t do it alone.
Our Work:
A collaboration of PAM and RMC, our all-volunteer group leapt into action early in the pandemic. Since March, we’ve produced and distributed over 30,000 bottles of hand sanitizer, as well as countless masks, Lysol sprays, and other COVID relief supplies- all supplied completely free of charge.
Thanks to a network of direct aid groups, most of whom have little to no budget, these critical supplies are being placed in the hands of those who need them most, including people living outdoors, those experiencing food insecurity, as well as low-income, LGBTQ+, immigrant, refugee, and other marginalized communities.
Where You Come In:
We have the know-how. We have the dedication. We need the bottles.
No, seriously. With COVID cases spiking in Oregon and across the country, the need for relief has increased beyond our current budget. Specifically, individual bottles are now the primary expense for this project, varying from $.65 to $1.15 each. In addition, bulk orders of disposable masks, restaurant-grade Lysol concentrate, and spray bottles, make up ongoing costs to keep the supplies flowing.
We recognize that change is inevitable and, while this month we need bottles, next month may bring new challenges. In the past, we’ve had to adapt to such changes by mixing our own sanitizer or by manufacturing our own masks. Rest assured, however community needs might shift in the coming months, we’re ready to adapt and meet them – as long as we have your support.
