Covid Ravages Family: 2 Kids with Severe Illnesses

Donation protected
Travis and Elsie Hunt are pastors at their church in Westerville, Ohio. They are consistently generous with their time and limited resources, always ready to lend a helping-hand and extremely involved in their community.

They are the parents of three sons: 16, 16 and 14; an 11-year-old daughter; and a 17-year-old daughter (who they recently became guardians of through a friend).

Their youngest child was born with multiple long-term health problems requiring over 50 surgeries, as well as a permanent  feeding tube. Their 14-year-old was recently diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and Crohn's Disease.

In July, their 14-year-old son was diagnosed with Coronavirus. During his 14-day quarantine period their 11-year-old daughter also contracted the virus and was hospitalized. Then, both Travis and Elsie caught it.

After over a month with no income, they were able to go back to work and attempt to catch up on bills.
It was at this time that their 17-year-old daughter was hospitalized with a kidney infection, necessitating a week of I.V. antibiotics.
After she was discharged, their 14-year-old son was then diagnosed with MIS-C (a complication from the Coronavirus). He was hospitalized, released with medication, but was required to have daily blood work.
After being home for a week, the 14-year-old was re-hospitalized, this time with blood clots in his spleen and liver.

On top of everything else, during this time, they developed a major plumbing issue in their bathroom (which will require new pipe and floor re-construction), the family car just broke-down ($3,000-5,000 repair quote) and, their refrigerator stopped working (after paying a repairman who informed them it cannot be fixed).

I realize we all know people struggling during the 2020 pandemic, but this family has been especially impacted financially, emotionally and physically.  Although Travis and Elsie have authorized this account, it is not in their nature to ask for assistance.  For the 10 years I've known this family, you would NEVER know they were struggling due to their positive, uplifting dispositions.

My name is Mary Fitzpatrick Swackhammer and I have set up this account for the Hunt family. One hundred percent of the contributions received will go solely to Travis and Elsie Hunt.
