COVID Kits for the Homeless

COVID-19 has hit Los Angeles County extremely hard and the homeless population is suffering even more because of it. Instead of constantly talking about the problem, I wanted to help do something about it.
This campaign's goal is to bring resources to people living in shelters and on the streets in the Los Angeles area. I will be donating a majority of these kits to PATH which is a significant organization established in Los Angeles that had made it their mission to help end homelessness. They have built shelters through out LA County and other cities in California and they have a detailed what supplies they need on their website. My goal is to provide sanitary supplies in bulk using the donations provided, and also distribute the kits to homeless people on the street who did not have the opportunity to be housed in these shelters.
The kits will contain:
- hand sanitizer/ wet wipes
- soap
- tooth brushes/ toothpaste
- shampoo/conditioner
- masks (especially for those on the streets)
- feminine hygiene products
This support will not only mean a lot to me but also to the people who do not have the proper resources to protect themselves from this virus. The homeless population deserves to be healthy and safe and any amount given will help make that a reality!
