In these quarantimes, just about everything feels weird, hard, and scary, and it’s hard to know where to begin to try to make a difference. In a lighthearted moment lamenting our inability to maintain our haircuts, Danielle and I hit on an idea that might allow us to do both. In researching local organizations that are making an impact for those affected by the COVID-19 crisis here in Chicago, we came across My Block, My Hood, My City, and loved that they are providing urgently needed supplies and relief to at-risk demographics, while also giving vital support and community to their clients in this uncertain time. Next Sunday, Danielle and I will take the problem of haircuts off our plates when we buzz our heads live on Facebook - if we raise $5000 for MBMHMC. Join us as we do our best to spread a little light and laugh at ourselves in the process! Wanna join us? Share this link and get your clippers ready - let’s be real, we could all be home for a while, and the last thing any of us need to worry about is our hair :)
