The Coveys are feeling the times in Silicon Valley. Due to California having wiped out the middle-class families.
My dear friend (Johnathan) and his wife Courtney have been married now for 10 years with 5 girls and a set of twin boys. Jourdyn 9, Fallon 8, Paisley 6, Harley 4, Hayden 3 and Easton and Paxton 2. They bought their first home in 2016 in Gilroy California and shortly after in August of 2017 John was laid off with his employer after 4 years working 6-7 days a week, anywhere from 60-70 hours per week on salary and commission base, making a decent income. After exhausting all of their savings and his unemployment benefits in 2017 they had no other choice but to turn towards, “Save Your Home California” for assistance. Funds ended back in November of 2018 after starting a new job closer to home and his family. This was a position that was also on a commission-based pay and the first 3-4 months were rough with no income while the new business started getting up on it’s feet. Since then they have fallen into foreclosure with nothing left. The Coveys been trying to work with the bank for a loan modification but would need to re qualify and after missing 5 months of mortgage payments, knowing that his credit is ruined and has no income to qualify. Next step would be a sale date and they’d need to move. How does someone move a family of 10, where and how???
The Coveys have been raised to give and give back and not to ask for anything, but I have decided for them to ask friends and family. To set aside the pride in asking for these kids whom I’ve had the privilege to be around, IT’S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS!!!!
I can’t fathom the amount of pressures his wife Courtney (SUPERMOM) is dealing with, while John being away at work trying his best to make this turn around, and trying to strive to maintain a home and a family. Courtney goes above and beyond as a wife, mother, and his best friend. We’re all pushing through the challenges that we are facing, I can say that John and Courtney still manage to keep their heads up high and push through the hard times.
Coveys are not just looking for money! Praying for someone or something to bless our family. Looking for ideas, hope, love and support. The overall goal would be to save our home or help to relocate. But who would actually be willing to rent to a family of 9? With Hope, love, and Faith, I ask for the sake of their family, to take a minute and help in even the slightest way possible. Thank you taking the time to read this.
