Hi, we would really appreciate any help we can get to cover the costs of the legal fees involved with immigration.
Initially we had planned for Austin to join Crystal in the USA, however the increasing hostility against LBGTQ+ individuals deterred us from this path, and decided instead that we will be moving Crystal to the UK, and staying with Austin's family until we are married and can afford to go to University. But we soon realised this decision is going to be expensive, much more so than moving to the USA.
We have been together for 5 years, and got engaged this winter, and planned to get married and move both of us to the USA this summer, however that became nearly impossible due to the rising hostility of immigrants and both of us being in a queer relationship.
We need to cover the costs of immigration which includes;
Applying from outside the UK: £1,938.
NHS Surcharge (Healthcare): £1,035 per year
Switching to a spouse visa after 6 months: £1,321
Plane Ticket: £700-£1100
Other costs (rent, utilities, groceries in the period which a Fiancée cant work.)
Any help would be appreciated so much.
