COURTNEY'S WARRiors: FITNESS FOR A CAUSE TO BEAT CANCER

Imagine this…

You notice something off with your body, something deeply concerning. You advocate for yourself, speak up, and express fear that it could be cancer. But instead of being heard, your concerns are dismissed. You’re given hormone medication… only to later find out it fueled the very cancer you feared.

This is my sister’s reality.

In 2021, Courtney was diagnosed with Stage 2B Invasive Lobular Carcinoma which is a hormone-receptive form of breast cancer. She faced it head on and fought like hell. Through multiple procedures and relentless determination, she made it to remission.

But everything changed this year.

After weeks of pain and troubling vision issues, Courtney was diagnosed on March 14, 2025, with Stage 4 Leptomeningeal Disease (LMD) an aggressive cancer that spreads to the thin layers surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Just when we thought the storm had passed, the monster came back.

But so did her fight.

To know Courtney is to love her. She’s a devoted mother of three, a second mom to her autistic nephew, and the kind of woman who shows up for everyone she loves. She’s strong, real, loyal, and fierce. A true rider.

Since this diagnosis, Courtney has been unable to work. Chemotherapy, hospital stays, and intense treatments have taken over her daily life. So now, it’s our turn to show up for her.

We’re hosting a fitness fundraiser event, and every ticket sold goes directly to Courtney to help cover her medical and living expenses.
