Couch to 5k for the SEN Community in Hull

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Lauren

March and April is the time we celebrate Neurodiversity.

I’ve decided to raise money for the hull parent forum and tics sibling support. The local charities have been amazing in supporting myself as a parent carer and my children.

My two children are both diagnosed autistic and have ADHD. I like to celebrate their uniqueness and their different talents. I am always looking at strategies to support their learning and development.
I am proud to say that Im also neurodivergent too as Im dyslexic and ADHD.

The SEN world can be a lonely place and can be exhausting trying to fight for your children’s rights. I decided to join hull parent forum to meet other parents who were non-judgemental and totally understood how difficult life could be. This is why I decided to volunteer for the HPCF to give back to the community by helping out at events.

My child attends the Tics sibling support once a week and they carry out amazing events . They do a lot of work around emotional well-being and do lots of creative activities.

The money will go to helping create more events and support for both parent carers and children who have siblings with sen in hull.
