Hi, I'm Fran. Following a difficult year after surgery and breast cancer treatment I have finally decided to attempt walking a National Trail after years of putting it off. I will be walking the Cotswold Way - 102 miles - in 8 days, starting on 2 July 2022.

This will not only be a personal challenge but also an opportunity to raise money for a worthwhile cause close to my heart.

My friend and colleague, Emma Hartley, was diagnosed with cancer at the same time as me and sadly lost her fight to this terrible disease last November at the age of just 34.

My school, where we met and enjoyed working together, is raising money to build a picnic park in her memory. It will be a place where both pupils and staff can eat, socialise, play table tennis and have fun together.

Any donations will be gratefully received and will spur me on during my Cotswold journey.
